There's more to this site than idle curiosity. Have you ever lost your hard earned travel concession because you didn't want to travel alone and your non-airline friends couldn't afford to go?  Wouldn't it be good to travel with someone in the same position?  Maybe for shopping, a sporting event or somewhere you've always wanted to go?  You could even arrange a group to meet at the destination.  You don't have to spend every minute together but how nice would it be to have company at the end of the day for a drink!

And if, like me, you enjoy travel but find hotel costs make a severe dent in your budget you may consider arranging a house swap with an overseas member to make that trip affordable.
